A few things worth knowing

Suppressing us does not affect your money. If a state is holding unclaimed property in your name, it stays there indefinitely whether or not you ever talk to us. You can claim it yourself at any time, for free, directly from the state. Nothing expires.

We are not the only ones who can see it. California publishes its unclaimed property database publicly, so other recovery firms are working from the same file. Suppressing us does not suppress them. If you would rather nobody contacted you about it, the most effective step is to claim the property, which removes it from the public list.

If you got a text claiming to be us, it was not us. We do not send marketing texts. Our cold outreach is a posted letter, and it always names this page.

Find My Unclaimed is a private company. We are not a government agency and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any state treasurer, controller, or unclaimed property office. You always have the right to file your own claim directly with the state for free.
